Tegral (carbamazepine) is an anticonvulsant. It works by decreasing nerve impulses that cause seizures and pain. Tegral is used to treat certain types of seizures (partial, tonic-clonic, mixed). Tegral is also used to treat nerve pain such as trigeminal neuralgia and glossopharyngeal neuralgia.
Tegral is also known as TEGRETOL.
Carbamazepine is used to prevent and control seizures. This medication works by reducing the spread of seizure activity in the brain and restoring the normal balance of nerve activity.
