Rocephin is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of many kinds of bacterial infections such as intra-abdominal infections, bacterial ear infections (Otitis Media), pelvic inflammatory disease, prosthetic joint infection, meningitis, pyelonephritis, gonococcal infections and is also used as prophylaxis.
Ceftriaxone is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.This drug is not recommended for use in newborns with high bloodbilirubin levels and premature infants due to increased risk of side effects.
