Diclofenac injection is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat adults with mild to moderate pain. It is used alone or given with other opioid (narcotic) pain medicines to treat adults with moderate to severe pain.

What is DICLOFENAC INJ. and how is it used?
Diclofenac Sodium is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Ankylosis Spondylitits, Dysmenorrhea and Mild-to-Moderate Acute Pain. Diclofenac Sodium may be used alone or with other medications.
Diclofenac Sodium belongs to a class of drugs called NSAIDs.
It is not known if Diclofenac Sodium is safe and effective in children younger than 3 years of age.
What are the possible side effects of Diclofenac Sodium?
Diclofenac Sodium may cause serious side effects including:
- blood clots,
- vomiting dark brown or similar to coffee grounds,
- black tarry stools,
- rectal bleeding,
- stomach pain,
- weight loss,
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- bloating,
- feeling full,
- loss of appetite,
- burping,
- sudden severe abdominal pain,
- fever,
- chills,
- rash,
- fatigue,
- dark-colored urine,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- high blood pressure,
- heart failure,
- swelling,
- little or no urination,
- swelling of your legs, ankles and feet,
- shortness of breath,
- excessive drowsiness,
- fatigue,
- pain or pressure in your chest,
- seizures,
- muscle weakness,
- numbness and tingling,
- irregular heartbeat,
- shortness of breath,
- skin rash,
- hives,
- itching,
- swelling,
- wheezing,
- runny nose,
- itchy, watery eyes, and
- anemia
